Pathway 2 Purpose Innovation Information

Aloha HS Leaders and HS Students,

We have some exciting news to share with you! High-school students across Hawaii are now eligible to participate in Pathway 2 Purpose Innovation (P2PI), a new virtual career-based internship program. P2PI is a partnership between Pilina Education Alliance and Oceanit, with funding from the 2021 Governor’s Innovation Grant.

Pathway 2 Purpose Innovation offers students an opportunity to explore careers in key business sectors through collaborative activities under the direction of industry leaders. Past internship participants report that they were able to help solve real world problems under expert guidance and use their experiences as a springboard for college admissions or entry-level jobs.

During the 8-week program, participants meet virtually with peers and internship directors one afternoon each week, from 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM. Virtual internship opportunities are available in Design Thinking & Engineering, Peacebuilding & Changemaking, Game & App Design, and Entrepreneurship. Additional special interest workshops are available to enhance skill development and career awareness, providing knowledge and experience that will build success for the future.

Pathway to Purpose Innovation is provided at no cost to students, but enrollment is limited. The first session begins during the week of February 14, 2022. Visit https://www.myp2pi.org/ for more information and a link to student registration.
