Lahainaluna High School Graduation Requirement Lahainaluna High School Graduation Requirements Video 2 Show Transcript good morning Nunez this is mrs. society the registrar this video will go over important information about how to become a lahainaluna graduate so how many credit do you need to graduate do you know 24 you need 24 credits minimum to graduate from lahainaluna high school let's Dive In do these graduation requirements first up the core you need to take for credits of English that would be English 9 English 10 expository writing and one and a half as of your Junior Senior English you also need four credits of social studies u.s. history world history modern history of Hawaii and participation in democracy and your social studies elective which is normally in your senior year you also need 3 credits of mathematics and they need to be Algebra 1 geometry and a you also need 3 credits of Science and one of them must be biology along with this car requirements you also have a World Language fine art act requirement where you must be in a specified program of study and you must level up so let's take a look at World Language you must have two credits in a world language and you must love like Japanese one you must follow it up with Japanese to you cannot be in Japanese 1 and decide to switch to Spanish one and say okay I'm done with my two you know that would be to you but they don't fulfill this requirement because you need to have two credits where you level up so if you were to switch from Japanese one to Spanish why do you need to follow it up with Spanish too the same goes for City courses for example if you were to take foundations of Automotive Maintenance and light repair that would be considered level one and you would never let the following year and take Automotive Maintenance and light repair one and that would fulfill your 2-year graduation requirement in a specified program of study we do have a number of DTE pathways you're at our school and in the next few weeks will be sharing what those pathways are and so stay tuned with that along with World Language and c t e can still have two credits in a fine arts program and that would count as well so if you were in drying and painting and you wanted to work with 3D instead of Judy and you could move into Ceramics and that would pay for your two years in a program of study for Fine Arts we have PE you need to have PE 9 and PE 10 Your Health Credit Bureau needs your personal transition Plan Credit and you will need 6 credits of electives all of these three parts route 224 credit minimum so that means you could have more than 24 I need you all to talk to your grade level counselor about your credit details you need to make sure you have all your lined up in a row that's it for now stay tuned for the next segment Print
