Congratulations to our Science Olympiad Team who advances to the State Science Olympiad in Oahu

Aloha All,
 
After a day of competition in 10 events, the science olympiad team of Lahainaluna High School emerged as one of the teams to advance to the Hawaii State Science Olympiad finals which will be held at UH Manoa campus on April 1, 2023. Congratulations to  the following students who garnered their medals in various events:
 
1st place in Anatomy and Physiology: MJee Abarra and Carmella Mei Bonifacio
1st place in Chem Lab: Emily Hegrenes and Carmela Mei Bonifacio
1st place in Bridge Design and Construction: Carla Agrade and Sofia Nebrida
1st place in Experimental Design: Samantha Monnett and Sofia Nebrida
3rd place in Disease Detectives: Carmela Mei Bonifacio and Jadelyn Fujii
3rd place in Dynamic Planet: Sofia Nebrida and Carla Agrade
3rd place in Cell Biology: MJee Abarra, and Carla Agrade
3rd in Trajectory: Emily Hegrenes and Jadelyn Fujii
 
Well-deserved appreciation goes to Coach Kaitlyn Scheib and Mentor Kevin Tenison who supported and guided the students to prepare for the state tournament.
