We are offering an after school Tutor Lab at Hale Pu'ke K-11 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays from 2:15pm to 3:30pm. Students may use the tutor lab to Receive on-line help from UH Manoa graduate students (math, science, writing); Use as a quiet place to study with AC; Brush up on your math and science skills and test taking skills with KHAN Academy; Work on actual practice questions for the SAT; and Learn how to organize your work, use your planner, and take quality notes. On Friday, August 12th, our school held its opening assembly at Jimmie H. Greig Gymnasium. Spirits were high as our Luna Marching Band and Luna Cheerleaders got the student excited with the playing of "Horse" and Glamorous. The program featured an opening message from our TA Principal Mr. Daniel Espaniola, message from our Vice Principals & SRO(School Resource Officer), the introductions of new teachers, performances by our Hawaiiana club and Boarders Chorus, celebrating the awards of our HOSA and Best Buddies achieved over the summer, and a mini balloon game between the classes.


The program ended with the singing of our alma mater led by our junior and varsity football boys, and the singing of O Kou Aloha. We thank Jayme Carlos, Student Activities Coordinator, the student government, administration, staff, the Luna Marching Band, The Luna Cheerleaders, The Hawaiiana Club, Ilima Greig-Hong, Lorraine Gomez-Karinen, and the Boarders Chorus for putting together this awesome opening year assembly.
